Currently, visual diagnostic methods, such as ultrasound, X-ray, remain very popular and necessary for diagnosing and determining the tactics of treating many diseases. However, there are situations when the information obtained in these surveys is not enough. And to clarify the diagnosis it is necessary to study the morphological composition of organs.
The cyst is an anomaly of the kidney, which is characterized by the presence of an isolated cavity or a plurality of cavities with liquid contents. The contents of the cyst are serous (most often), hemorrhagic (with a trace of blood). If the cyst in the kidney is one, it is called solitary, if the lesion is characterized by the formation of multiple cysts - this is a multicystosis of the kidney (it can be one-sided and two-sided).
The female menstrual cycle occupies a special role in the life of mankind, namely, the basic one. The structure of the formation of the yellow body is inextricably linked with the period of the menstrual cycle, and later in the participation in the creation of a new life. The combination of the nervous and endocrine systems mutually control each other.
The yellow body is formed in the ovary instead of the follicle that has completed ovulation. It temporarily produces sex hormones - progesterone and estrogen. Progesterone is needed to maintain pregnancy, especially at the beginning, when the placenta itself can not yet produce the required amount of this hormone. Therefore, up to 12 weeks, this work is performed by a yellow body. On ultrasound it looks like a non-uniform rounded yellow formation of soft consistency, however, the hormonal functioning of this organ can be diagnosed only in the laboratory. For this, certain tests must be submitted.
